Kelly Hoppen, celebrity interior designer, decided to show us here at Elle Decor what she can do to a studio apartment in London. firstly, she decided that she would use light colours such as grays and whites to give the room the feel that it was bigger, next, she decided to build a platform for the bed to be on which had storage under it because she know find storage would be one of the biggest issues that she was going to have to combat while designing this space. to create a sense of differentiation between the living room and the bedroom that did not block the natural light coming from the window, Kelly decided to build a divider out of scrap pieces of wood she had lying around in her studio. next, Kelly used furniture that is low to the floor while also playing shelves near to the roof to give the appearance of space even when there isn't any. finally Kelly used a rug with horizontal stripes to make the room appear as it was longer than it already was. we love this spacious studio and we believe that it is simply to die for.
